The road to SHELL is paved with bad intentions……. BLOODY MONEY, Tar Sands, Rossport, Niger Delta

On the 8th of Feb this year Occupy Oil held it’s first day of mass action. Shell Stations across the UK and indeed further afield were blockaded or picketed. We are back and on the 22nd of May 2012 we are holding Occupy Oil the Sequel, Shell Oil will be holding their AGM in The Hague with an audio-visual link to a satellite meeting place in London.

We are calling on all occupiers, groups and individuals to come together and send a clear message to Shell Oil.

Occupy London condemns demolition of the School of Ideas building

Illegal evictions aren’t unusual and happen all the time, but it is rare for a building to cease to exist so fast afterwards! Complete with redacted text, Kenneth Clarke MP signed the warrant of possession for the Occupy London School of Ideas building, that Master Bragg issued two weeks ago and around midnight – at the same time as the eviction of Occupy London Stock Exchange by St Paul’s – high court enforcement officers backed by the Met Police, stormed the building without notice from the court and evicted 25 people. The hacker apparently managed to access the call after getting into an FBI agent’s email which gave details of the call. The email was also posted online. The conversation concerned a young member of another hacking collective who was cooperating with the police in Britain.  The attack on the FBI was initially announced with a text post on the website Pastebin. A link to an MP3 recording of the conference call was later put up and publicised on numerous Twitter accounts. The email referred to an investigation on both sides of the Atlantic into a number of hacking groups. It read: “A conference call is planned for next Tuesday (January 17, 2012) to discuss the on-going investigations related to Anonymous, Lulzsec, Antisec, and other associated splinter groups.”

Iran’s Press TV loses UK licence

Iranian news network Press TV has had its licence revoked by the media regulator Ofcom and will no longer be allowed to broadcast in the UK. Ofcom said the state broadcaster’s English language outlet had breached several broadcasting licence rules over editorial control of the channel. Press TV has also failed to pay a £100,000 fine imposed last year. The channel called the decision “a clear example of censorship”. It will be removed from Sky on 20 January. The £100,000 fine was imposed last year after the network broadcast an interview with imprisoned Newsweek and Channel 4 journalist Maziar Bahari, which the Ofcom said had been conducted under duress.
